Best Games on PlayStation 5 That You Can Play Right Now

Sony’s next-gen console, the Playstation 5, has been out for a few months now but unfortunately, it can only support a handful of games, and those who were lucky enough to get their hands on one do not have many titles to choose from.

However, new games are being released on the platform, and it wouldn’t be long before we have bucket loads of games in our arsenal but for now, we’re running on limited supplies. In the meantime, many developers are bringing their pre-released games on PlayStation 5, and to reduce your boredom, we’ve gathered a list of some of the best games that you can play on your PlayStation 5 right away.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

The COD franchise needs no introduction as it is one of the most universally played first-person AAA titles of our time. The latest installment in the franchise, COD: Black Ops Cold War takes us to the early 1980s, the beginning of the cold war when soviet spies were trying to sabotage the United States defenses and bring glory to their nation.

Activision is bringing the protagonist from the previous game which includes Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and co. This group of special soldiers are tasked to hunt down the soviet spies and stop them once and for all. To avoid spoiling the storyline, it would be wise if we didn’t say much about the plot of COD: BOCW.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is one of the initial games that were released on PlayStation 5. If you’re into fast-paced action games then this game is definitely recommended. It is more enjoyable and satisfying to play COD: BOCW on the PlayStation 5 with the DualShock controller than it is on other platforms. The controller adds realism to the gameplay experience with its built-in triggers and vibrators.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Sony’s masterclass, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a PlayStation exclusive that has everyone in awe. This is the second installment in the franchise and it features Miles Morales as the main protagonist of the game. Gamers will take over the role of Miles Morales who is the guardian angel of New york city.

Thanks to all the improvements and enhancements that were incorporated into the game, Spider-Man: Miles Morales looks great on PlayStation 5 and the mechanics feel quite smooth as well. Additionally, the game features a variety of villains from the Marvel universe, including Rhino, Tinkerer, Kingpin, and many others as well.

On the PlayStation 5, Sony also made Spider-Man (2018) remastered available as well, meaning that both games are readily available on the next-gen console. If you haven’t played the original Spider-Man as of yet, now is your chance to enjoy it on a higher resolution screen with higher frame rates.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Love the chemistry between Norsemen and Anglo-Saxons? Assasin’s Creed Valhalla is the best place to experience it all.

Set in 9th-century England, players take on the role of Eivor, a jarl’s brother who seeks settlement on the English lands. But as Anglo Saxons and Norsemen are at each other’s throats, circumstances are quite harsh for your Raven clan. To ward off King Alfred’s wrath, you need to establish strong alliances with Viking settlements all over the country.

Assasin’s Creed Valhalla is a true next-gen open-world game that features everything that a gamer can desire. From chopping off enemies with iconic axes to raiding monasteries, AC: Valhalla takes things to the next level.

It runs smoothly on PS5. The graphics are lovely, and the controls are fine, making this title a must-play game of the year. Also,  It is readily available with PlayStation 5. If you’re short on PS5 games, then we strongly recommend getting your hands on AC: Valhalla.

Hitman 3

The PlayStation 5 hasn’t yet seen many stealth-based games, but fortunately, Hitman 3 is available on the next-generation console and it’s just one click away.

Similar to its predecessors, Hitman 3 follows the story of Agent 47 who is tasked to assassinate multiple high-profile personnel that has ties with ICA to seek out the main antagonist, Arthur Edwards.

Starting off, Agent 47 found himself on the top of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building on Earth, and with the help of Diana and other associates, he manages to penetrate the strict security protocols and assassinate the target. Thus, it is the perfect start to an incredibly gratifying game, with its majestic views and iconic ways, which gamers could not have asked for more.

Additionally, as the plot progresses, Agent 47 travels around the globe to locate and eliminate the real devils and solve the mystery of his forgotten childhood memories. A truly remarkable AAA title, Hitman 3 delivers stunning graphics and a stealth mode that is too good to ignore. If you’re looking for an exceptional AAA title then this is the best that you could expect.

Watch Dogs: Legion

Even though Watch Dogs: Legion may not be able to surpass the brilliant previous sequels, it remains a delightful title that PlayStation 5 console owners must get their hands on.

Set in the futuristic city of London, the DedSec vigilantes are accused of carrying out several bombing incidents throughout the city. But, ‘Zero Day’, a terrorist organization is the main culprit behind the bombings and now attempts to frame DedSec for their dirty deeds.

Regarding gameplay in Watch Dogs: Legion, players can choose from a wide variety of characters and there’s no one specific protagonist in the game. Players can recruit random citizens around the city and can switch characters at any time. Compared to its predecessors, Watch Dogs: Legion is different in so many ways that it is hard to find a grip on things.

The constant bugs and glitches in Watch Dogs: Legion has pissed many fans around the world but its inspiring story makes up for it. If you’ve already played the first two installments in the franchise then we really recommend getting your hands on Watch Dogs: Legion as well.

That’s all folks!
