Comic-book heroes have always been incorporated into games since the early days of gaming, and Batman has always held a special place in the hearts of DC fans. And due to gaming’s evolution over the years, there have been a number of Batman games developed and released globally but we’ll talk about the best Batman games on PC that you should definitely check out.

In the past decade or so, the Arkham series has brought us tons of pleasure with their finely crafted games and they have given us the opportunity to put ourselves in the shoes of Bruce Wayne and fight against all manner of enemies that endanger the lives of people living in Gotham. In our list of the best Batman games on PC, we’ll feature a handful of Arkham series games, so buckle up and let’s get started.

Best Batman Games on PC: Ranked

Batman: Arkham Knight

Hop into the Batmobile and hunt down Scarecrow in the depths of Gotham, but with a few dozens of gas bombs exploding throughout the city and goons with big guns trying to hunt you down, it’s definitely not easy being Batman. But when you have the likes of Gordan and your butler helping you out, things do start to make a bit more sense.

Batman Arkham Knight, the latest game in the franchise, is arguably the best Batman game on PC that you could find. Graphically, this game is insanely good-looking but what makes it even more interesting is the exceptional plot and story-telling. Even though the campaign may be a bit too difficult, it’s a no-brainer that Batman Arkham Knight is the best of the lot. Thankfully Batman Arkham Knight is available on PC and the requirements aren’t that demanding as well.

If you’re ever looking to put yourself in the shoes of Brue Wayne to fight against the notorious war-lords of Gotham then Batman Arkham Knight is the one.

Batman: Arkham City

When Batman is going after his arch-nemesis, the Joker, chances are that it can’t get better than that. And luckily, Batman: Arkham City offers us the chance to hunt down the Joker for once and all and although we do see a lot of familiar faces from the comics, the Joker is the main antagonist in Batman: Arkham City.

It would be wise to say that Batman: Arkham City is the best game in the franchise and probably the only one that’s rated at 9.4/10 on IMBD. Aside from doing extremely well all over the world, the gameplay of the game was absolutely stunning, and even though the graphics were nowhere as realistic, the plot, the story-telling, intense-boss fights, and memorable moments that we’ll cherish forever, Batman: Arkham City had it all and unfortunately, they don’t make like these anymore.

Fortunately, Batman: Arkham City is available on PC, and almost everyone with a least-decent PC would be able to play Batman: Arkham City with playable frame rates. Everything about Batman: Arkham City is flawless and you cannot miss it, we can bet on it.

Batman: Arkham Origins

While bringing the spotlight to the most notorious crime lords of Gotham, developers decided to flaunt the opulent life of The Dark Knight and his shenanigans in the city of Gotham. We have to say that the legend of The Dark Knight was beautifully covered in Batman: Arkham Origins and we have to say, it was one hell of a journey. But thankfully, Batman, the protector of Gotham and Knight’s nightmare, did succeed in bringing down the goon.

Batman: Arkham Origins managed to showcase a wide variety of villains including Enigma, Penguin, Anarky, and many more. We gotta say that beating these infamous villains in their own backyard was never this much fun and with all the new gadgets introduced in the game, combat was quite intense and we had a pleasure taking down the enemies from all angles.

In spite of being ahead of its time, Batman: Arkham Origins did receive mixed reviews from the community but all-in-all, Batman: Arkham Origins did manage to impress millions from all over the world. Luckily, Batman: Arkham Origins is available on PC.

Unfortunately, not rebooting the Arkham series has been a bummer but with a new game in the words, things are looking up for DC fanatics.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

The first game in the Arkham series, Batman Arkham Asylum featured the deadliest villains of Gotham City, and after the Joker fooled Batman by escaping the Arkham Asylum and capturing Commissioner Gordon, it wasn’t an easy ride to take back the city from the goons. But with Gordy and the help of all the latest inventions of Lucius Fox, Batman manages to fight the likes of Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, and the Joker himself.

Rocksteady Studios, the developers behind Batman: Arkham Asylum, did a spectacular job at bringing characters to life through exceptional gameplay. Despite its release in 2009, the game offered gameplay that had never been seen before and was far ahead of its time. Safe to say, it was one of the most played games of the year 2009.

Aside from the true one-of-a-kind gameplay, Batman: Arkham Asylum offered a deep plot with memorable moments that will be locked up in the depths of our hearts. The only concern we had about Batman: Arkham Asylum was that the camping was quite short and the whole game could end in a single setting but nevertheless, Batman: Arkham Asylum was well worth it.

These are our picks of the best Batman games on PC that you can get your hands on. Luckily, Gotham Knights that will be released next year will also be coming to PC as well. Unfortunately, with the exclusion of Batman from Gotham Knights, it won’t be as fun but we’re expecting many good things from this one.

If you’re looking for Batman games on PC then we highly recommend you to at least play the Arkham series once in your life. We promise you that you won’t regret spending your hard-earned money on these splendid titles.

That’s all folks.
