Call of Duty: Vanguard is going to be the latest entry in the COD franchise and it will be the 18th mainstream installment in the franchise. Earlier in August, developers revealed the games and it seems like COD Vanguard is based on World War II and will be heavily focused on the stories of war heroes of the fictional time.
Along with a long campaign in WW2 settings, Call of Duty: Vanguard will feature multiplayer and zombie mode as well. Furthermore, Call of Duty: Vanguard will also be integrated into Warzone as well-meaning that gamers who purchase COD: Vanguard will also have access to play the free-to-play battle royale, Call of Duty Warzone.
When is Call of Duty: Vanguard coming? What are the system requirements? Well, to find out everything, bear with us till the end to find everything you need to know about Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Release Date for Call of Duty: Vanguard
The latest installment in the COD franchise, Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on November 5, 2021, on PlayStation 5 & 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft Windows. Rumors are that Call of Duty: Vanguard will have different versions of the game and they will have more perks for a slightly higher price.
For now, rumors are that Call of Duty: Vanguard is will slightly expensive because it will be releasing for next-gen consoles as well. The standard version of Call of Duty: Vanguard will cost you $59.99 on PC, $70 on PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X/S, and $99.99 for the Ultimate edition that will be available on all platforms and will have additional perks.
The size of Call of Duty games has been a real concern for many gamers since Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War nearly took up to 300GB of space on your hard drive. And now with Warzone also integrated into the game, the size of Call of Duty: Vanguard would be huge.
According to the Microsoft Store, the download size of Call of Duty: Vanguard will be around 75GB. It is unclear what would be the size after the installation and add-ons but if we were to guess, you will need at least 150GB of free space on your gaming device.
System Requirements for Call of Duty: Vanguard
Call of Duty: Vanguard is going to be a graphically demanding game which means that you must have a decent battlestation to properly enjoy the inspiring WW2 settings. Unofficially, here are the specs that you’ll need to run Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Minimum PC Requirements
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-560 3.3GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 805
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 360X/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti/ AMD Radeon RX560
Video Memory: 2GB
RAM: 4 GB
Hard disk: 80 GB
With these specs, you could barely get decent fps in Call of Duty: Vanguard and we highly suggest building a custom PC with at least 5th-gen processors to thoroughly enjoy the WW2 campaign.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is set in the world war 2 era and early leaks suggest that it features the last resistance forces fighting against the remaining nazis. The fictional setting of the game is somewhat inspired by the real events of World War 2 when Hitler’s successor gathered up the nazis to launch a counterattack.
Bear in mind that Call of Duty: Vanguard is not a sequel to COD: WW2 because the settings might be the same, but the characters and storylines are very different. Even though we’ll see a lot of familiar sights, the narrative will be different.
We saw nostalgic gameplay in the early gameplay released by the developers, but this time around, developers have modified their tactics to add a more realistic feel to the game. In the early footage that we saw earlier this week, the main protagonist was seen climbing up holes inside the ways and using innovative ways to take down enemies, something that was missing from the franchise before.
Call of Duty: Vanguard will not only be integrated into Warzone but, it will feature its own multiplayer experience with many different modes including TDA, FFA, and more. Furthermore, Activision will be introducing a new multiplayer mode called ‘Champion Hill’ which is basically a term used for last man standing matches.
The open beta for Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer mode will be available to play later this month and anyone who has pre-ordered the game will have access to the lobby. More information will be released by the official once the dates are finalized but initial official dates seem to suggest that open beta would be accessible from September 10 to September 21.
At the time of release, Call of Duty: Vanguard will have a total of 20 different maps, and more will be added with regular updates down the line.
While the Sledgehammer Games was heavily focused on campaign and multiplayer modes of Call of Duty: Vanguard, Treyarch Studios was given the responsibility of developing the zombie mode. Similar to its predecessor, the zombie mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard can be played in a co-op and would feature enigmatic gameplay with a solid storyline which is a prequel to the one we saw in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
